TopShelfStory is a platform for discovering, reading, and sharing children's stories. We offer multiple story formats including text stories, chaptered stories, interactive choose-your-own-adventure stories, and picture books. Access to stories may require credits purchased through the platform.

3. User Accounts

• You must create an account to access most features of the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have parental/guardian consent.
• Accounts created for children should be managed by a parent or guardian.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Credits and Payments

• Story access requires credits, which can be purchased through the platform.
• Credits are non-refundable once used to access a story.
• Unused credits remain in your account until used or until account deletion.
• We reserve the right to change credit pricing at any time with reasonable notice.
• Free stories may be available without credits at our discretion.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

• All stories, illustrations, designs, and content on TopShelfStory are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
• You may read stories for personal, non-commercial use only.
• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.
• The TopShelfStory name, logo, and branding are trademarks of TopShelfStory. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

6. Content Moderation

All stories on TopShelfStory undergo a moderation review process. We reserve the right to:

• Approve, reject, or flag any content at our sole discretion.
• Remove content that violates our guidelines or is deemed inappropriate for children.
• Suspend accounts that repeatedly submit content violating our guidelines.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape, download, or reproduce content without permission.
• Share your account credentials with others.
• Circumvent credit requirements or exploit the payment system.

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Unused credits are non-refundable upon account termination.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
